Guide trip rates/options

Guided trips for muskies are a great thing to do if you are looking to chase big fish. It takes lots of time and money to get into musky fishing. If you are looking at trying it out and want to see if it is worth getting more into it or if you have always wanted to chase these giants, both are great reasons to book a trip with Mega Muskies.

We will start at the lake access with a quick meeting about safety on the water and what to expect for the day. From there we will hit the water. Depending on the number of people that would like to go out at once, we will be either trolling or casting.  Casting musky baits is exciting and more fast paced then trolling. Casting musky baits around with big hooks is not the best thing when you get a lot of people in the boat so for your safety, we limit the number of people on one trip to 3(not including myself). Trolling is more of a relaxed approach but covers lots of water. This is a fun way to get younger people on the water it is also much safer to run more people this way so there is a limit of 4(not including myself) people per trip. If you are looking to have more than 4 or more people on your trip, please call and we will work out a plan to accommodate that.

Going out on a trip with Mega Muskies is a great chance to get out on the water enjoy the day learn a thing or two about muskies like their behavior, habitat, and tactics while fishing for muskies. Not to mention that you will have the chance to put one of these fish in the net!

We also do trips for other species of fish. Like Bass, Pike, Walleye, and Panfish. For these trips pricing is the same. For these guide trips we will go out on the best local bites. Targeting your preferred species. Trolling and casting will be used. 

The limit of people in the boat is the same as a musky guide trip. Going fishing for any one of these species are lots of fun. 

Bass: Bass are lots of fun to fish for, they are a great numbers fish. If you are looking for a fun day on the water with lots of fish this is a great species to target.

Pike: Pike are another great numbers species, they are a hard fighting fish and you may even get lucky enough to get one of the larger pike that roam these waters.

Walleye: Walleye are one of the most chased fish in the Alexandria area and for good reason. They are one of the best tasting fish in the area. Walleyes are much harder to catch but when the bite is good it is a very exciting time!

Panfish: Panfish include Sunnies, Crappies, and Perch. these are good tasting fish and are easier to find in large numbers and are great for keeping kids entertained.
